Lisa Petrie
Dance Instructor.
Lisa is a highly accomplished dancer, singer, and teacher in the performing arts. She trained at Valerie Shepherd Dance Academy and The South Shields Amateur Operatic Society, developing her skills in both dance and singing. Lisa also studied piano under Kay Smith and pursued further education at South Tyneside College, California Pacific College of the Performing Arts, the University of Sunderland, and Teesside University.
Lisa has extensive teaching experience, including positions at Valerie Shepherd Dance Academy, Shotton Hall Stage School, Central Newcastle High School, and Performers Stage School. Currently, she serves as the Dance Programme Leader and FdA Dance Lecturer at New College Durham, where she has made significant contributions to the curriculum. Lisa also lectures in FdA Music at the college.
In addition to her teaching roles, Lisa has made a lasting impact as a performer herself. She has graced numerous stages with her exceptional dance and vocal abilities, captivating audiences with her talent and expressive performances. Lisa's experiences as a performer inform her teaching approach, allowing her to provide valuable insights and practical guidance to her students.
