Suzanne Stuart-Burke's journey in the world of dance truly began at the London Studio Centre in 1989, where she honed her skills and gained the knowledge needed to embark on a remarkable career. Graduating from the London Studio Centre with a diploma in musical theatre in 1992, Suzanne laid the foundation for her lifelong passion for dance.

A dedicated teacher and dance enthusiast, Suzanne's path to becoming a renowned figure in the dance community has been marked by significant milestones:

In 1992, Suzanne founded Art of Dance, a pivotal moment that marked the inception of her own dance school. This venture became a beacon of excellence in the dance community, offering students a platform to nurture their talents.

For 14 transformative years, from 1992 to 2006, Suzanne committed herself to intensive training under the esteemed Lilian Aubrey. During this period, she achieved a multitude of qualifications from the National Council for Dance and Theatre Arts (NCDTA), exemplifying her unwavering commitment to continuous growth and mastery in dance education. Some of these qualifications including Associate, Licentiate and Fellow in ballet, jazz, tap and freestyle.

In 2014, Suzanne's profound knowledge and experience in dance education led her to a prestigious role as a Fellow Examiner for the NCDTA. In this capacity, she played a vital role in shaping and upholding the standards of dance education, sharing her expertise with future generations of dancers. Suzanne's dedication to the dance community was further exemplified by her role as a member of the NCDTA Executive Council later in 2014, where she contributed her expertise to the organisation's governance.

Suzanne's excellence in dance education extended to the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), where she became a registered teacher in 2018. Her commitment to bringing the RAD's esteemed training methods to her students reflects her unwavering dedication to their growth and development.

In 2023, Suzanne was awarded the prestigious title of Affiliate Teacher of the Royal Ballet Schools Training and Assessment Programme. With an extraordinary result of 91%, Suzanne soared to the top, solidifying her position among the finest dance educators in the world. This outstanding achievement made her part of one of the first cohorts to receive this honour globally. Suzanne’s illustrious journey in the world of dance doesn’t stop there, it continues to evolve, marked by her most recent achievement. Having recently qualified with Rambert grades, Suzanne looks forward to implementing these newfound skills into her school within the next couple of months.

Suzanne Stuart-Burke's passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to dance education have made her one of the most respected dance teachers in the North East and serve as a testament to her enduring dedication to the Art of Dance. This is reflected in her prestigious awards, including the Le Classique de Danse Professional Theatre Choreography Award and the Carl Alan Teacher Award.
